New Riding Program at Gracewood Farm
Gracewood Farm has Paso Finos for on the farm monthly riding leases. These are horses used in the Smoothride4u Horsemanship Lesson program. Riders skill level need to be approved and matched per suggested horse by Gracewood Farm's owner and a lease contract signed. Lease is on a monthly basis. Some of the horses are also available for sale, so may become unavailable to lease.

This program is for Adult horse lovers who don't own their own horse or have a place to keep one, but want to spend time with a special horse suited to them. They can enjoy grooming and horseback riding in a relaxing, rural setting only for the costs of monthly horse upkeeping, without the cost of purchase of horse. If you are looking to gain time in the saddle, before an actual purchase down the road, this can be a good option for you. Private lessons are discounted 5% on a Leased Program horse.

Rider Lease Requirements

Intermediate or Advanced Rider Skill Level

Advanced Riding Lesson Student at Gracewood Farm

1. Protective Riding Safety Helmet
2. Riding Boots with a low flat heel
3. Fill out the Student Information Form (click for downloads)
4. Read and Sign Gracewood's Liability Release Form -
North Carolina's Horse Liability Law
5. Student has a medical insurance policy coverage
6. Orientation meeting prior to lease
7 . Riding Lessons may be required before the lease period
8 . Lease fee is due on or by the first of each month horse is leased.

Monthly Lease Fee
Per Horse Lease Fee: $325 per month (April - October); $350 (November- March)
Fee includes riding priviledges, board, veterinary and hoof trim, and farm bridle for the horse. Rider should provide their own riding saddle.
