Sombra BLS is a dappled gray 13.3-14 hh
7/8 Colombian 1/8 Puerto Rican Paso Fino mare. She is
a smooth gaited pleasure, show prospect, broodmare, and
trail mount at Gracewood Farm. Sombra has a very easy
and alert disposition, with fluid and balanced movements
in her gaits. Sombra was initially registered black, but
now is a lovely dappled gray.

as a "Schooling Filly" placed in Conformation,
Classic Fino and Performance at the 1979 Nationals. Her
previous owner Daneen Hitchcock stated about Leyenda:
"A good sized mare with strong gait and good
disposition. A very versatile mare". Leyenda
also qualified as a mare in four divisions for the 1981
Nationals in Conformation, Performance, Classic Fino,
and Pleasure, showing her versatility in gaits and way
of going.
