Arianna
de Dixieland is a chestnut Paso Fino mare with dorsal
stripe, and blaze. She is a broodmare at Gracewood Farm
and has been used for light riding by youth (as young
as age 4) for horsemanship riding lessons. Previously,
Arianna had been trail ridden extensively, but an injury
to her front pastern joint would limit that with a large
adult. She has a very easy going and people friendly disposition,
and is natural gaited.

Bloodlines:
Arianna is a granddaughter of Castellano
(Resorte IV) who was 1985 National Classic Fino Schooling
Colt Champion, PFHA Top Ten Sire. Castellano competed
against Capuchino in the 1980s, and was said at that time
to be the superior fino stallion over his sibling Capuchino.
Through her sire, Arianna's bloodlines also trace to Duque
(2x), Resorte III (3x), Desvelo, Delirio, and Ligia II.
Arianna
also is the granddaughter of the legendary Meridian Meadows
import from Colombia, Hilaches -- PFHA Foundation Sire,
3x Sire of the Year, 5x Top Ten Sire, and PFHA Hall of
Fame Paso Fino.

With
an equally strong maternal influence, Arianna's granddams
are Pregonera International -- (Delirio, Desvelo, Ligia
II) a performance show mare, and Consentida -- APF/IPFS
Foundation Dam, also dam to Dadiva del Pina, 1984 PFHA
#9 Top Ten Dam. For this honor Consentida had to have
produced 2 or more National or Reserve IPFS National Champions;
and she carries Jupiter (2x) thru her granddam.

Arianna has produced 4 foals known:
a chestnut pinto filly, a bay colt, a chestnut colt, and
a red dun Paso Fino colt Magico
de Gracia (by Emperador La Estrella). Her first 3
foals were sired by Walking Horse and Spotted Walking
Horses.

Fino Dun Color Factor: Arianna
has a distinct red dorsal stripe and faint shoulder barring.
She has white spots along her dorsal also. Arianna's dam
Rufina de Rancho Grande was a dun and has produced several
zebra dun offspring. The Duque and Monarca lines also
carry a strong dun gene through Ligia II.
